Hi, I have a 2011 Xterra and it has the dealer installed 7 pin trailer package installed. What connector do I need for connecting a brake controller to existing wiring? Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and she informed me that the Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness, part # 3050-P that you referenced will work on your 2011 Nissan Xterra to allow you to connect your brake controller to the 7-way wiring that is on your vehicle.
The harness will be located underneath and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. It is a 6-pin connector that mates with the 3050-P brake control wiring adapter.
If you need a brake controller I would recommend a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885, this is one of our best selling controllers because it works well and is easy to setup and use. This controller would also work very well with the # 3050-P as it would just snap right into the back of the controller. I attached installation instructions for you to check out.
