Installing New 3-Wire Light Assemblies on Trailer
Question:
The lights on my tralier have 2wires for each light i need new lights so i bought new leds they come with 3 wires the 4 wires i need and ground when i hook the ground up my running lights go out how do i hook the new leds up and still have running lights?

It sounds like the previous lights on your trailer used the mounting hardware for the ground. Your new LED light assemblies have a separate ground wire, which should be attached to a clean, bare metal surface. You will want to make sure that there is no debris or corrosion on the surface you attach it to, as this may lead to the issues you are having with the running lights.
In order to install your new assemblies, the other two wires (which should be black and red) will attach to the running light circuit and brake/turn circuit. The black will be for running lights, which should be the brown wire on your trailer's 4-pole and the red wire will be fore the brake/turn circuit wires.
