Trailer Hitch Recommendation to Fit Bumper at Rear of Camper Trailer

Question:

For #C11422 hitch can you tell me overall length and height and width of pre-drilled brackets. I may bumper mount it for bike rack use on a pop-up camper...if I can make it fit.

We can't recommend you attach the Curt hitch part # C11422 to the rear bumper of a camper.

If you have a 4 inch square bumper instead you would want the Curt hitch part # E-100 which is designed specifically for that application.

At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use like the Swagman Dispatch # S44FR.
