2 Pole Connector for Powering Trailer Battery and Trailer Liftgate
Question:
I want to be able to charge the battery on my trailer for my winch using the truck as a power source. i seen on a post that i could use a single pole plug. the question i have is do i really have to install a battery isolater and circuit breaker if Im not going to keep the truck plugged in to the trailer when Im not using it. what i also was thinking about doing was putting 2 single pole female plugsone on truck and the other on the trailer and using a plug for a lift gate like on a tractor trailer. Would that work? The truck i am using is a 2002 GMC Sierra 6.6 Turbo diesel The trailer i am using is a 2017 Kaufman 4 car hauler with a 12,000lb winch. Also on a side note Im looking for ideas to run some type of pulleys to run my winch cable in because the wire cable that pulls cars up is rubbing on the frame of the trailer. Any answers will be appreciated Thanks

You don't have to use an isolator if you don't need one. If your plan is to unplug the trailer when not in use there would be no need to use an isolator.
For a 2 pole socket for your vehicle we have the part # PK12801 and then for the trailer side we have the part # PK12800 which would be a great solution.
I wish we had a fairlead or roller solution for your winch cable but at this time we do not.
