Reese 22k 5th Wheel # RP3033 Recommendation for a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:

your website says this unit bolts directly to truck frame and makes no mention of having to purchase bolts or other items. americanrvcompany.com shows same fifth wheel but says bolts not included and a half in. steel plate is needed under the bed and that it does not fit a corrugated bed . i have an 06 dodge 3500 longbed. please help in clearing up my confusion. thanks.

The Reese Low-Profile 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 30,000 lbs, item # RP30054, is designed for installation on medium duty truck applications such as Freightliner or Ford F-650. It is NOT intended for light duty pick-up trucks like your 2006 Dodge Ram.

For your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup you would want a Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # RP30033, RP50140-58. This is the most heavy duty hitch that is available for your Ram with its towing capacity of 22,000 lbs. I attached installation instructions for this product below.
