Carrying a Flint Hill Goods Mobility Scooter Carrier And Towing a Heavy Trailer at the Same Time
Question:
I purchased a Curt 30x50 mobility scooter carrier from you. Is there a 2 inch receiver extension with a drop/rise that will give me room and lift the carrier up? So I can carry the carrier on top and bottom for heavier towing. Plus when carrier is folded up it touches back of car

In this case, I recommend using the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount, part # D210. This part doesn't reduce your tongue weight at all. This difference can be massive when carrying heavy items like a mobility scooter above a load.
You will want to verify the weight of your mobility scooter, the weight of the Flint Hill Goods 30" x 50" Wheelchair Carrier w/ 48" Ramp # FHG77ZR (About 80lbs) and the tongue weight of your proposed trailer with load is less than 750lbs of tongue weight, the limit of the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount, and that your vehicle is capable of towing the load.
Additionally, you will only gain 3-9/16 inches of height from this setup for the carrier, so be sure that your trailer will not contact the bottom of the carrier and that the ramp can reach the ground comfortably from its new height.
When using this, you'll need to make sure that you have a 1-inch shank ball of either 2 inch or 2-5/16 diameter. I recommend the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable ball set, part # 906B. this will let you adjust back and forth between the two sizes as you need them.
