Recommended Vehicle Side Adapter from 4-Way Flat to 7-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
I need a 7 blade male connector to fit my 5x9 trailer coupling that has no brakes to 4 pin flat plug on vehicle side. Thanks

Expert Reply:
For your adapter, I recommend the Curt Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole w/Test Lamps # C57674. This will allow you to simply plug your 4 way trailer connector into the adapter and mount the adapter with the bracket. You don't need to connect the other wires except the white ground wire.
If you choose to connect the other wires, the yellow goes to your reverse light function, the black to your battery for 12V power, and the blue to an electric brake controller output. If you choose to add these functions, you can use the kit # 5506.
