Bike Rack for a 2017 Ford Escape Titanium and a 2012 Ford Explorer
Question:
Hello, I need a bike rack that will fit a 2017 ford escape TITANIUM. Needs to hold a minimum of 2 bikes. It would be great if it fit a 2012 ford explorer too, but doesnt have to.

You have a lot of great options for a 2017 Ford Escape Titanium, but I have two specific recommendations that also work with your 2012 Ford Explorer.
The first is a Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack, part # Y02633 . This is a fully featured rack with integrated anti-sway bike holders and integrated bike and rack locks for added security. This rack can hold 3 bikes total safely away from the vehicle so that you don't have to worry about potential damage from swaying bikes. This is a confirmed fit for both vehicles and can be installed and removed fairly quickly.
Another option is a little less traditional, but offers flexibility in terms of bikes carried and space. The SeaSucker Hornet, part # 298-BH1302 , is a vacuum mounted bike rack that holds the bikes to any rear window hatch vertically by the handlebars, minimizing space added to the vehicle and allowing easy transfer between the vehicles. You'll need to buy one for each bike, but this is an infinitely adaptable system that allows you to carry exactly the number of bikes you need with a simple installation and removal system. With this system, I recommend adding the Trunk Cable Lock Anchor, part # 298-BA0020 or Window Lock Anchor, part # 298-BA0010 and a cable lock like part # e98891 in order to secure the bikes.
I've included a video review of both of these racks so you can get an idea of how they work in practice.
