Recommendation for Installing Erickson E-Track System on Aluminum Trailer

Question:

If I put an e-track system on my Aluminum 5.5x10foot trailer with 2 inch lumber running parallel to the sides, How often will I need to mount the e-track?

When installing the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # E19148 to the floor of your aluminum trailer, the amount and type of fasteners you use will depend on the particular structure of the floor. If you are able to use the wood planks for mounting the system, there will be enough floor structure for the fasteners to securely attach to. Erickson states that you should use no less than 2 fasteners per linear foot per side. For this application, going with the minimum will be sufficient.

If you will be going into the thinner metal/aluminum floor, you will want to use self tapping screws spaced much closer together.
