Troubleshooting Replacement OEM Wiring Harness # 118253 for 2009 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
Very disappointed in the instructions. They were for the pilot and its totally different The dealer installed the kit you provided and my trailer lighting circuit checks good. Yet I have no stop or turn signals only running lights. Have to tow the pop up today. Anyway can I replace the trailer lights with leds and run them in parallel straight off the rear truck lights? I only need stop lights. Any suggestions? Thanks

You can replace the lights on your trailer with LEDs and run fresh wiring through the 7-Way # 118253 on your 2009 Honda Ridgeline and the 7-Way on your trailer, but before doing that I recommend checking the fuses to make sure that they were all installed properly. You can also use a Circuit Tester # PTW2993 to test all of the functions on the 7-Way on your Ridgeline to see if it is fully functioning.
The fuse box you will want to look at is under the hood. You will need to remove the subfuse box upper cover and there should have been three 20A fuses and two 7.5A fuses installed. If you are missing even just one fuse I believe that is the problem. Let me know what you find and I can help you troubleshoot further from there.
I am sending the installation instructions for your Ridgeline in a separate email for you to check out.
