How to Determine the Replacement Hubs for a 2002 Magic Tilt Trailer

To determine what the correct replacement hubs are for your Magic Tilt trailer there is a little bit of information that we will need. We will need to find out inner diameter of both the Inner and Outer Bearings as well as the inner diameter of the Grease Seal. To ensure that your current wheels are compatible with the hub that you get you will need to make sure that you also have the appropriate bolt pattern on your hub.

If you remove one of your current hubs you should be able to see the part numbers of the Bearings and Grease Seal that were previously installed. If you have these numbers then we can use those to find the correct hub. Otherwise you will need to use a Digital Caliper # PTW80157 and measure the sections labeled B, C, and D in the attached picture. Please note that you will need to record the measurements to the 3rd decimal place, like 0.375.

That definitely does help to narrow it down. If you are just needing hubs for your trailer then I recommend checking out our Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 6,000-lb Axles # AKIHUB-655-6-K. This hub assembly has a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern and comes with a # 25580 Inner Bearing and a # 15123 Outer Bearing. The only thing that you will want to check to make sure it is compatible is the grease seal. The grease seal that comes with it is part # GS-2250DL and has a 2.25 inch inner diameter. If you have an EZ Lube spindle then you can use part # AKIHUB-655-6-EZ-K instead which just switches out the grease cap. If you are needing a hub and drum assembly then you will want to use part # AKHD-655-6-K which has the same measurements and parts as the idler hub assembly. The only difference is that it comes with a drum. The EZ Lube version is part # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K. If, by chance, you are needing a hub and rotor assembly then I recommend part # KHR12D which has the same bolt pattern and uses the same bearings and seals as the other hub options. They are sold seperately so you will need to purchase the Inner Bearing # 25580, Outer Bearing # 15123, and Grease Seal # GS-2250DL. I have also attached a link to our selection of hubs that use those bearings and have the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern that you mentioned.
