If you already have the standard 43" long Reese Base Rails, part # RP58058, then I recommend going with the Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit # RP50064 which does not require drilling since it matches right up to existing mounting holes in the frame of your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. A more economic option would be the Reese Universal Installation Kit # RP30439 but it does require drilling and is a little more tricky to install.

If you happen to have the Outboard 48" long Base Rails # RP30153 you can use the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Brackets # RP56007.
