Recommended Recessed D-Ring Tie Downs For Trailer Floor
Question:
Need four recessed D-ring tie downs for the floor of my enclosed 16ft trailer. Hauling a 33 Ford hotrod weighs about 2600lbs. Will the Brophy RR05 do the job? Is the backing plate sold seperate or come with?

Expert Reply:
The Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor - Bolt-On # RR05 are rated for 1600 lbs each and will work very well for your 1933 Ford Hotrod. The backing plate is sold separately and is part # BP05. I've attached a photo with the dimensions to assist. Hardware in not included so you can get the specific length needed to accommodate your trailer floor. I recommend getting Grade 5 or better hardware.
