Troubleshooting Weak Trailer Brakes
Question:
2011 KEYSTONE RAPTOR 365 . COULD NEVER LOCK UP BRAKES FROM NEW. 3 AXEL REPLACE 4 DRUMS FROM YOU THEY ARE OUT OF ROUND WILL GET TRUE UP. OLD DRUMS INNER RACES WERE TURNING IN HUB. MY TRUCK CONTROL CHECKOUT OK . 12 BY 2 INCH BRAKES. 8 LUG 16 INCH TIRES. TRUCK BRAKE CONTROL ON 10. SHOULD BE AROUND 6 OR 7.

What brake assemblies do you have? Are they self adjusting assemblies? If so you just need to apply them several times while rolling and they will set themselves to the proper tightness to give you better brakes.
If they are manual assemblies you may need to adjust them tighter so that they'll grab properly. You want to tighten them up so that they lightly drag when spun by hand.
