Dimensions of Extra Offset Trailer Spare Tire Carrier by Dutton-Lainson
Question:
My travel trailer is a 2015 Genesis Classic trailer. The bumper is 4inch x4inch outside dimension. Can you please send me a section showing the dimensions so I can cut the shape out of plywood and hold it up to my trailer to see if the tire will clear the trailer and the road. My problem is that the trailer sticks out further than the bumper. I want to use it on the back bumper on a travel trailer. Thanks

I took some measurements of the Dutton-Lainson Extra Offset Spare Tire Carrier # DL22145 for you. I've attached a couple photos to assist. From the base to the closest edge of the plate where the tire connects it is 7-1/2 inches. The bottom of the support shaft is 8-1/4 and the top of that support is 9-1/2 inches from the front plate that mounts to your 4x4 inch bumper. The bolt holes are 3-3/4 inches horizontally and vertically they are 3-1/2, 4-1/2, and 5-1/2 inches. The angle of the support bar is 20 degrees up and the tire mounting plate is 65 degrees down. I've attached photos to assist.
