Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2016 Acura MDX

Hello, I would like to purchase the hitch for a bike rack for my 2016 Acura MDX. Which one should I get since I have a full size spare tire underneath? Will either of the hitches interfere with the spare tire?

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13146 will fit your 2016 Acura MDX. The spare tire issue might not be an issue. The hitch will fit with a full-size spare if the spare is the 18 inch, but not if the spare is the available 19 or 20 inch.

The most popular bike rack for owner's of the 2016 Acura MDX is the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches Item # TH934XTR. This is a 4-bike rack that can tilt down, the arms fold down, and it has anti-sway cradles.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
