Is there an Advantage to Going with the Curt A205th Wheel Hitch over the A16 for a 2016 GMC Sierra
Question:
Need to tow a fifth wheel UVW:10,750, GVWR:13,995 with a 2016 Sierra Duramax SRW 3500 with 6.5 box. I have the Curt EZr gooseneck. Plan to add Curt X5 adapter and either the Curt A16 or A20 with rollers. The A16/R16 would seem to be capable and would be lighter to handle. Are there advantages to stepping up to the 20k hitch? Would if function differently smoother, quieter, easier to hook/unhook, etc. since its a bit beefier?

I would not say that the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs Item # C16541 functions differently or smoother compared to the A16 # C16521. The advantage of going with the 20K hitch though is that if you ever plan on towing anything heavier than 16K you will be ready!
The X5 adapter for your Curt EZr gooseneck hitch is # C16220.
