Flat Towing Compatibility of a 2013 Kia Soul Manual Transmission and Recommended Components
Question:
Ive read a few things about toeing the Soul but nothing mentioned about a 2013 stick. So now Im confused. I have a tow car now but would like something different and am looking at this year Soul. Any advice would be appreciated.

The 2013 Kia Soul with manual transmission is flat towable. I have double checked with our manufacturers and this vehicle will work well without any restrictions on speed or any other special circumstances. I recommend using the Roadmaster EZ2 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 522112-1 to get you started.
For your tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520 along with safety cables # RM-643.
For your wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will allow you to use your factory wiring while protecting it with the diodes. It will give you a clean connection on the front of the Soul and the connector cable has a coiled design to prevent dragging.
For your supplemental braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This system requires only adjustment at installation and then becomes a plug and play system. It is not a difficult install and is a very reliable system that will allow braking in your Kia Soul with the same amount of pressure and at the same time as you hit the brake pedal in your motorhome.
The final thing you need is a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to assist and have linked the page to all of your options for your convenience.
