Air Bag Mounting Location on a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

Question:

I am looking for air suspension like the the sport rite by Firestone that Installs between your vehicles frame and its rear suspension on the side of the frame rail and the top of the leaf spring 3000 lbs or 5000 lbs of load leveling. For my make and model all i have been able to find is the kind that bolts under the frame and on top of the axle and i do not want this style. Thank you for your help,

The space between the top of the leaf springs and bottom of the frame rail on your 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is not ideal for air suspension. I do have an air suspension option for you, however, neither AirLift or Firestone make an airbag kit that attaches to the top of the factory leaf springs on your vehicle. For an airbag kit that attaches to the outside face of the frame rail and on the side of the axle closest to the tire, I recommend using the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57575.

The Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 provides your vehicle with up to 7,500 lbs of load-leveling support, reducing strain on your rear suspension and improving both safety and ride quality. In order to control these air bags from inside the vehicle, I recommend using the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs part # AL74000.

I have included a video review of the airbag kit and wireless compressor system for you.
