Recommended Thule Roof Rack System to Replace OEM Crossbars on 2013 Honda Pilot

Question:

Hi. I own a 2013 Honda Pilot with a factory roof rack / crossbars. I was wondering if there is any way to expand the space between the crossbars. I purchased a Thule Tahoe soft roof carrier. The spacing between crossbars is 29 inch and length on Thule Tahoe is 41. Has it been done eliminating front crossbar and adding a 2013 Honda Pilot Roof Rack by Thule Roof Rack Includes: Thule AeroBlade Load Bars - Aluminum - 60inch - Qty 2 Thule Rapid Traverse Roof-Rack Foot Pack Thule Roof-Rack Fit Kit for Traverse Foot Packs - 1510 Part Numbers: THARB60,TH480R,THKIT1510 help.

If you remove the factory installed crossbars that are currently on your 2013 Honda Pilot, you can then install the Thule Evo Foot Pack # TH710401 along with 53 inch WingBar Evo Bars, part # TH711400 for Silver or part # TH711420 for Black. To lock this roof rack system you will need part # TH450400.

Thule recommends a crossbar spread of 38 inches. Even though it doesn't quite accommodate the 41 inch spacing you are needing, it will give you an additional 9 inches of space from your OEM crossbar spread. You can just tuck in the extra 3 inches of fabric from your cargo bag.
