To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
Trailer tongue weight is usually 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight. The 437 pounds could be the dry tongue weight since it is less than 10 percent of the 5,000 pound gross trailer weight. So if we go by 437 pounds as the low then that would make the high 750 pounds.
Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW Item # RP66083 covers that range for sure. It is rated for 400 to 800 pounds tongue weight. Based on the information above this is a great option for you.
The only other part you will need is a properly sized ball, # 19286.
