Repair Kit and Replacement Follow Leg for Stromberg Carlson 5th Wheel Landing Gear
Question:
Hello, I have a 2005 Arctic Fox 27 5L I over retracted the jacks and snapped the shaft in the follow leg. 2 questions please, 1. Is this the correct kit? 2. How do I get the leg screw to move, it appears to be jammed. Thank you,

Trailer makers rarely keep records of smaller items like the landing gear and stabilizers they install on their trailers but if you can confirm the landing gear is from Stromberg Carlson and is either their model # LG-1 or model # LG-183708 then kit # LG-146060 is the correct part. Both the powered # LG-1 and the manual # LG-183708 provide the same 34-7/8-inches of lift.
You can compare your follow leg dimensions to confirm compatibility. Both landing gear sets have a leg length of 29-1/2-inches. This is the length of just the outer tube.
Once you remove the leg's top cap to access the gears you should be able to then remove the screw to see if it is damaged. If you prefer to replace the follow leg completely you can use # LG-179014 which works with Stromberg Carlson kits # LG-1, # LG-3 and # LG-183708. This leg is also compatible with most landing gear sets, including Atwood, Venture, and Lippert models.
