Recommendation to Transport 2 Bikes on 2017 Volvo XC60

Question:

Do you guarantee fit for my vehicle? Neither Thule, Saris, or Yakima confirm the racks for my vehicle that your site says will fit. Just curious before we buy. We have a 2017 Volvo XC60 without a hitch. Thank you.

The only trunk-mount bike option we have available that is confirmed to fit your 2017 Volvo XC60 is the SeaSucker Hornet Rear Window Bike Rack # 298-BH1302. This is a very unique carrier that uses two Vacuum cups with ratcheting straps to attach to the rear window on your vehicle and secure 1 bike. It has a weight capacity of 35 pounds and includes a cam-buckle safety strap for additional stability. I have attached a video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly how it works.

For a standard 2-bike rack on your Volvo, the only option will be to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch-mounted bike rack.

For a trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75671. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will provide a 2 inch receiver opening and a tongue weight capacity of 400 pounds. I have included an installation video on the 2016 Volvo XC60 that you can use for reference.

Then for a 2-bike rack, I highly recommend the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack # S64683. This is a really nice platform style rack that can transport up to 2 bikes at 45 pounds each and features spring-loaded levers to let you tilt the rack down or fold it up. This will allow for easy rear cargo access on your vehicle without having to unload the bikes. The rack includes both a bike and hitch lock to secure everything into place and help to deter theft.

I have attached a video demonstration on this bike rack along with a link that will take you to our available selection of hitch-mounted racks that you can look through.
