How to Determine Correct Hubs for Homemade Trailer With 7/8 inch Axle
Question:
I have a homemade trailer with a 7/8 inch axle. The current hubs need to be replaced. Can you suggest one of your products that would do the job. A 4 on 4 to fit a 7/8 inch hub would be perfect. Thanks,

To determine the correct replacement hub for your trailer you will need to know your axle weight capacity, the part numbers of your Inner and Outer Bearings, and the Inner Diameter of your Grease Seal. If you take your current hub off and look at these parts you might be able to find a part number.
If you cannot find a part number on them you can also measure some points on your spindle using a Digital Caliper # PTW80157. The points that you will want to measure are the points B, C, and D in the included picture and you will want to measure them to the 3rd decimal place, for example 1.063.
Once you know what the part numbers or measurements are, you can then look through our selection of hubs (which has been linked) and narrow down the search by selecting the appropriate filters. If you are unsure of what to look for or would like help looking just let me know what they are and I can help you.
