Is it Normal to Have Noise from Trailer Weight Distribution/Sway Control System

Question:

My sway makes a bad noise when I make a turn..Is it too tight or what ? Thanks.

Trailer weight distribution/sway control systems like Curt # C17062, which uses the friction bar type anti-sway, and even the integrated anti-sway systems built into other weight distribution systems like the Equal-I-zer # EQ37120ET will generate some noise. Since they use friction to control/prevent sway some noise is inevitable, even when everything is set up correctly.

Depending on the particular system and driving conditions this noise can be enough for you to hear it in the vehicle. Noise in and of itself is not a concern so long as you are finding that the system is still doing what it is supposed to do - reduce or prevent trailer sway from passing trucks and wind gusts.
