How to Install the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote # FV807350 on a 2001 Safari Trek

Question:

I have a 2001 Safari Trek. It has 2 vents, a manual Fantastic Fan in the kitchen and who knows what in the bathroom. The bathroom fan was a small plastic blade fan and the blades all broke off! I would like to get a Fantastic Fan with the temp and rain controls, and need to know how much more complicated it is to install it in place of the who knows what fan in the bathroom VS replacing the Fantastic Fan in the kitchen. Or possibly putting the new fan in the kitchen and moving the old FF to the bathroom. Both openings are the same size. The Trek has a deep ceiling insulated, there is a ~5 inch plastic adapter piece mounted on the FF in the kitchen. Im on a very tight budget and the RV repair centers in my area are $$$$$ so Im hoping to do this upgrade/repair myself. Im moderately handy with tools but not an expert. Thanks!

Replacing a vent or fan isn't really difficult and can be accomplished by pretty much anyone. The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote # FV807350 is an excellent option as it does have the temp controls and automatically shuts when it starts to rain. It has a 5 inch Garnish, or sleeve, and so it will fit perfectly in the spot you described. You might even be able to leave the current sleeve in.

Although we do not have a video of the Roof Vent # FV807350 being installed, we do have a video of the Ventline Ventadome # V2094SP-28 being installed on an RV that you can use as a reference for your installation. It isn't the same vent/fan, but the installation process will be very similar.
