Bolt Size for Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 75742 on 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
Quick question, what size thread is used for mounting the Hitch to the 2014 Honda CR-V? I would like to have a tap on hand to chase the threads in the frame rail if possible. thanks

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75742 referenced in your question, which is confirmed to fit your 2014 Honda CR-V, uses four M10 X 1.25 X 30 CL8.8 hex bolts.
If you happen to have any trouble threading the bolts into the frame of your vehicle, cleaning the weld nuts will typically resolve the issue. Because vehicles tend to pick up a lot of dirt and road debris beneath the frame, a good soaking with WD40 on the holes along with a wire brush treatment will allow the included bolts to be easily installed.
I have attached the written installation details along with an installation video on your 2014 Honda CR-V that you can use for reference.
