Installing and Using Safety Chains on Tent Trailer
Question:
Hi I know the laws in o Atari of chanhed and you cant mount safety chains with a quick connect anymore you have to bolt them to the toubge now one chain in half but how do you install them on a tent trailer and I know you have to have clips that go to the car

To install and use safety chains on your trailer, I recommend first welding on mounting brackets like the Brophy Safety Chain Bracket # MB38 to the trailer. The bracket can then be used to a connect a quick link like the Curt Safety Chain Link # C82932.
With the Safety Chain Link attached, you will simply attach your chains like the Curt Single Hook # C80176 with S-Hooks.
You should also make sure to cross the chains beneath the trailer coupler. This is so the crossed chains can act as a sort of cradle that will catch the coupler as it falls if the trailer were to become disconnected.
