Recommended Bumper Mount Hitch to For Use with Bike Carrier on Jayco Trailer
Question:
Looking for advice for an RV Hitch for a Jayco Whitehawk 28DSBH trailer. Wondering if the Curt E100 / Curt 19100 would be a good rear bumper hitch that could be used for a bicycle carrier. The bicycle carrier is a Saris 4 bike lift on. If you dont for some reason recommend the Curt hitch above, do you have another recommendation. Thanks.

As long as your Jayco Whitehawk Trailer has a 4 inch square channel bumper, the Curt RV Bumper Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 referenced in your question will work perfectly. This will provide a sturdy 2 inch receiver opening for hitch-mounted bike racks like your Saris carrier. I have attached a short installation video on this product so you can see exactly how it works.
Please note that Curt requires the use of stabilizing straps like # 18050 with this hitch for any non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers.
One thing I recommend doing is checking to make sure that your Saris bike rack is rated for use behind a trailer. Because of the extensive bounce and movement that racks will have when mounted to a trailer or RV, only certain bike racks are designed to be used on them. These bike racks will often be constructed of heavy duty materials to withstand this additional bounce.
If you find that it is not suitable for use on your trailer, I recommend taking a look at the Swagman Trailhead 4-Bike Rack for 2" Hitches # S63381 . This is a really nice bike rack that is approved for trailer use and can hold up to 4 bikes with a total weight of 100 pounds. I have attached a video demonstration on this rack along with a link that will take you to our available selection of RV approved bike racks that you can look through.
