Does 12 Volt Power Circuit of 7-Way Need to Be Active for Prodigy RF Brake Controller to Work
Question:
I , however neglected to inquire properly about the electric brake wiring. The brake unit is a new wireless Prodigy design I believe P/N HH00036305. The control remote plugs into a power outlet and is a Bluetooth connection. The question now is, Must a power wire be run from the battery to the 7 pin connector? If so what size Circuit Breaker amps is recommended? Would the taillight wiring be heavy enough for the wireless solenoids to operate the brakes? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
If you have the RF brake controller part # TK94FR you will need to have the 12 volt power circuit (1:00 position of the connector) activated for the controller to work.
You would want to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 through a breaker like part # 9510 from the 7-way to the positive post of the battery.
