How To Choose The Correct Ball Mount For Towing
Question:
have hitch height of 24inch and trailer top of ball height of 17inch for Anderson rapid hitch do I need a 6 or 10 inch

If you are measuring from the top of the hitch receiver tube to the ground and from the ground to the bottom of the coupler, then you will need a ball mount that offers 7" of drop. For this, I recommend using the Self-Locking, Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w Chrome Balls part # DTALBM6600. As long as you are using the method above to take your measurements and you have a 2" hitch receiver, then this ball mount will work well for you.
I have also attached a help article that will help you determine the correct ball mount for your application in addition to a list of all our adjustable ball mounts if you need more than a 7" drop.
