Availability of Plug-In Adapter for Installing Brake Controller on 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
Question:
Awhile ago you answered a question for re: the possibility of a brake controller connector above the steering column near where it goes through the firewall and has a green cover over the connector. To date, have you been able to confirm this? I have spoken to countless dealership parts, service and sales employees and they, too, have not been able to confirm it. Their specs do not show this connector and most are not interested enough in the problem to put the time in physically checking for it. Will I have to hardwire this component in? Thanks, in advance for your help with this problem.

If your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has the factory tow package, then there will be a built-in port behind the dash of the vehicle.
If you do not yet have a brake controller, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. This is a great proportional controller that will apply the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Pacifica. You can then use the Plug-In Adapter # TK93VR for simple installation. One end of the adapter will plug into the controller itself and the other end will connect with the factory plug in your vehicle.
Based on my research, the factory harness will be located near and above where the steering column goes through the firewall. The harness itself will not be immediately visible, as it is tucked away and clipped to a bundle of wires encased with wiring loom. The harness will have a green male plug end that will need to be taken out to connect the Tekonsha Adapter to the female end.
