Replacement Handle for Reese 16K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch RP30047
Question:
I am very happy with the hitch, however after 16 years of use I feel that the control handle is weakening and may break any time. My question is : Is there a stronger replacement part I can buy from you folks? If so is this something I can do my self or do I need to go to an RV dealer who sells your product?

The replacement handle for the Reese 16K 5th wheel hitch # RP30047 is Replacement Handle Kit for Reese, Draw-Tite, and Hidden Hitch 5th Wheel Hitches Item # 58055. This is the original OEM replacement handle so if the first one lasted you 16 years you would get at least the same amount of life from this handle. This is the only handle confirmed to fit the hitch.
If you have a slider hitch and are talking about the actuating rod that connects one side of the slider base to the other the replacement for that is # 30579. This is also the only confirmed fit for the hitch. You may also need replacement klip rings # 58054.
