Bias vs Radial 205/75-14 Tires for 2007 Keystone Springdale 252 RDLS

Question:

I have a 2007 Keystone Springdale 252 RDLS. The tire placard on the side of the vehicle specifies a ST205/75D14 for all four tires and spare. Would a ST205/75R14 be a suitable, or better, replacement? Thank you!

The only difference between these two tires is that a ST205/75D14 is a bias ply tire, while a ST205/75R14 is a radial ply tire. Since radial tires flex more than bias tires, they generally have better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear. They also run cooler than bias tires do, especially when under a load, so radials tend to last longer. While bias ply tires can be useful for off-road applications like farm use, radials are generally preferable on the highway and for long trips. Radial tires would indeed be an upgrade from bias tires. I've attached a helpful article on trailer tires for your convenience.

Our ST205/75R14 tires come in load ranges C and D. The load range D option is our Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire, Item # AM10235. This tire has a computer-generated tread design for maximum traction in wet or dry conditions, excellent stability at highway speeds, and a 2-year warranty. Its maximum load is 2,040 lbs.

For a load range C option, I recommend ourTaskmaster ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TR20514. This tire is also excellent for highway use, has a nylon tread-firming belt to help prevent tread separation, and offers a 2-year warranty. Its maximum load is 1,760 lbs.

I've attached a review video of both tires for your convenience.
