Recommended Replacement Tires For 2016 Forest River Cardinal 3825FL

Question:

2016 Forest River Cardinal 3825FL. I am hearing a lot of negativity about the tires that are on it. Is the ST235/80R16E a good tire and at what speed can I safely travel? I have not purchased this RV yet but I am in the process. If I can not go down the highway without having blowouts I may change my mind about it. Please help!!

The ST235/80R16E is a tire size that many manufacturers use, so it isn't the size that is an issue on the 2016 Forest River Cardinal 3825FL but rather the manufacturer or people not taking proper care in following the load or speed ratings on the OEM tires. We have many really nice tires in this size, so I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the trailer based on OEM tires.

I recommend the Westlake ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL401. This tire is rated for 3520 lbs at 80 psi and has a speed rating of 75 mph max. This tire comes with a 5 year warranty and 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance 24/7 should you have any issues. This is the best warranty in the business to my knowledge.

If you want a higher speed rating, then I recommend the Taskmaster ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # TTWTRTM2358016E which has the same load capacity but a speed rating of 81 mph max.
