Measurement of the Cross Tube On The Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36311
Question:
What are the dimensions for the cross car tube/bar of the hitch? Im looking to install steps and/or bike wheel mounts on either sides of the receiver. Thanks.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36311 has a cross bar that measures 2-1/2 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches tall. The bar is approximately 45 inches long when I measured from one end to the other inside the tube, but the angles in the bar may increase or decrease that measurement by about 1/4 inch base on the front or back.
Adding steps or bike wheel mounts will add to the tongue weight of your trailer hitch and will need to be taken into consideration with the max tongue weight rating of 300 lbs on this hitch receiver.
