Replacement 7-Way Connector for 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Question:
Hello, I have a 2000 F-250 superduty. My trailer plug connector is the 7 way trailer connector. Which works great, but I messed up my wiring going from the back of the trailer connector to the truck connector. Mainly the truck connector end plug is smashed. Can I just buy the wiring from factory ford plug to the back of the trailer connector or do I need to purchase the whole kit? I believe its the Curt vehicle wiring harness for factory kit. Thank you

Expert Reply:
If your 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty came with a factory 4-Way, then the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # C55243 referenced in your question is indeed the correct harness to install a 7-Way. The wiring from the back of the trailer connector to the port that will connect to your truck is not currently available as a separate item. This kit will include the 7-Way trailer connector.
This will plug right into the factory wiring harness located beneath the rear of your truck, along the driver's side frame rail.
