Recommendation For Attaching 12V Trailer Power Wiring To Vehicle Battery Or Trailer Battery
Question:
From where I connect the wire to plug in my 12 volt center pin connector in my 7 pin connector in the back of my Rv? And what kind o number wire I need? From my battery positive pole? Do I need to connect ground too? Thank you

The 12V power wire to your connector should be 10 gauge wire like # 10-1-1. When running it in your vehicle to the 7-way connector, it will need a 40 amp circuit breaker like # 9510. You run from the battery + terminal to the circuit breaker and then from the breaker to your 1 o'clock position when facing the trailer connector or 11 o'clock position from the back side of the connector.
If you are connecting your trailer to your trailer battery, I recommend using the same 10 gauge wire and running it from the same location on the trailer side connector to the battery + terminal on your trailer battery. Then run a 10 gauge wire from the battery - terminal to the bare metal frame of your trailer.
