Installation of a Trailer Hitch on 2016 Nissan Sentra SL

Question:

I usually get roof rack and attach my bike mounts, however this car has chrome running along the underside of the roof where the rack would attach and I am worried it would bend/dent the chrome strip? In regards to this option of a trailer hitch I see the draw tight one as well as the curt. To me a novice they look similar. Is there a best for installation by a DIY person like me?

A trailer hitch is a great option for your 2016 Nissan Sentra if you are worried about mounting a clamp-on roof rack. As for the installation, neither process is going to be overwhelming as long as you are comfortable with a drill and torque wrench. The biggest difference is that the Curt # C11349 will require you to temporarily remove your rear fascia, though you won't have to drill your own mounting holes like you do with the Draw-Tite # 24907.

I've attached links to the installation instructions for each hitch so you can get a clear idea of what you'll need to do. I've also added a link to our page with hitch bike racks for you to take a look at.
