Replacement Parts For Older Yakima And Thule Roof Mount Bike Carriers

Question:

Hello, Im looking for a couple small parts for some racks I havent used in years. Both are bike racks, one a Thule, one a Yakima. My load bars are Thule rectangular bars. Yakima rack: This rack has a tray and an arm that swings up from the wheel tray to hold the bikes down tube. 1 What part is the wheel strap? Mine are cracked and/ or missing parts. 2 Do the wheel trays come in various lengths? I have a very long wheelbase bike and it doesnt fit, so I cant bring that bike on trips. 3 Are the wheel tray ends shown in my photos just cosmetic? 4 Is there a way to lock this rack? Thule Peloton rack: This rack holds the bike by the fork, with front wheel off. 5 I am missing just bolts, I think, to fasten the fork portion to my load bars and to the wheel tray. Or, am I missing more? What do I need to get this up and running? 6 I also need the 1-3/8 U bolts seen here. Maybe they only are available in double-ended. 7 Repeat of question 1 but for Thule. 8 Repeat of question 3 but for Thule. Thanks!

I have attached a link to the wheel straps we offer for bike carriers you can check out. The # RKY083 strap looks similar to the strap in the photo you sent, but with an older bike carrier it can be tough to match exactly.

There is no way to modify the rack to make it work with your long wheelbase bike. The end of the wheel trays on the bike carriers are just cosmetic.

If the missing bolts on your Thule rack are the carriage bolts, part # 915064554 is what you need. If you need the hex head bolt, part # 919-0612-54 is what you need.

For your Peloton bike carrier, part # TH853-5420-02 is the replacement U-bolt that will work for you.
