How Does Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harness Compare to Curt for a 2012 Ford Escape
Question:
Hello , I have a curt wiring harness currently but it is burned out. Its the second or third one that has gone bad . I pull a trailer once in a great while but when I do the lights need to work. How does this compare to the curt product.

We hear about far fewer issues with Tekonsha trailer wiring harness than we do other brands. If it were my 2012 Ford Escape I would go with T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # 118551 over the Curt equivalent.
But since you have gone through several wiring harnesses there may be an issue on the trailer side so it is a good idea to check the wiring on the trailer and fix any damaged or pinched wires. Also make sure the trailer side connector is free of corrosion.
When the wiring harness is not being used make sure that the cap is on the 4-Way end.
