How to Uncouple a Gooseneck Trailer from the Convert-A-Ball # CAB-C5GX1216
Question:
I purchased the convert a ball cab-c5g1216. I am having lots of trouble uncoupling from the ball on my BandW turnover goose neck Help!

The only problems that might be hindering you from uncoupling would be that the positive-lock feature is in the lock position or that your truck is sitting at such an angle that it is putting pressure on the hitch ball.
Make sure that your truck and trailer are both on level ground and that the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 is in the unlocked position (see attached photo).
It should then be a simple matter of jacking your trailer up high enough to clear the gooseneck hitch ball. You might need to adjust your truck's position slightly forward or backwards from where it is sitting.
If this doesn't help, let me know what the specific issue is and send a picture as well and I can help you troubleshoot further.
