Installing the Draw-Tite Wiring # 18252 On My 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
Question:
i found the factory harness under the bumper. Identified the wires. Do the left and right turn signal wires also signal the brake light? Their is a seperate wire marked for brakes which lights the tester when i apply the brakes. if I connect the four pole flat, ground white, tailights lights - brown, and left/right signals -yellow/green as shown in the video, will i get a brake signal as well?

Yes, the left and right turn signal wires also carry the brake signal on your 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. If you wire the 4-pole, part # 18252 to the correct wires you will get the brake signal on your trailer.
On the Draw-Tite Wiring, part # 18252, you will need to use a circuit tester # PTW2993 to connect to the correct wire function. On part # 18252 connect the White wire to a clean metal surface for ground, Brown to the running light circuit, Yellow to left turn and brake, and Green to right turn and brake.
The extra wire for the brake light function is for the CHMSL function or Center High-Mount Stop Light also referred to as the third brake light.
I have linked an FAQ on wiring that you may find as a good reference.
