Fit Problems with Rhino-Rack Roof Rack on a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta Sedan

Question:

This rack is not fitting properly on my 2017 Jetta. As you can see in the photos, the foot pads seem off and the clips arent laying snugly against the car. It seems like its not the right fit, but I had a customer service specialist help me place the order. Any advise outside of whats in the instruction sheets would be appreciated.

Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black Item # RR73MR is the correct fit for a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta sedan. You can try minute adjustments that take the rack outside of the measurements in the instructions to account for manufacturer tolerances. But your pictures look a lot like our installation video, linked for reference. The video is on a 2016 model year but the fit and parts are all the same between it and a 2017.

Based only on your pictures it appears that you might need to place the feet a little closer together so the clips better fit the contours of the vehicle.
