Best Way To Carry 3 Bikes On A 2013 Infiniti G37
Question:
Im looking to buy the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches for my 2013 Infiniti G37x sedan. My hitch has a tongue capacity of 200lbs. Id like to be able to carry 3 adult mtb bikes about 32lbs each. Do you think this rack will do well? Is my car with a 1 1/4 inch receiver going to be able to handle this kind of weight? Would you recommend another way to carry 3 bikes?

You can certainly use the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway part # TH934XTR on your 2013 Infiniti G37, however, as the vehicle only has a Class I 1-1/4" hitch receiver option, you will only be able to carry two bikes on this rack. As this bike rack weighs roughly 40 lbs and the hitch receiver has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs, each bike must weigh under 40 lbs in order for this option to work. Class I hitches can only carry 2 bikes even if the rack that you choose is made for more bikes.
A better option would be to use the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack part # TH9058 to carry 2 bikes on a rear mounted hitch receiver like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11499 in addition to using a roof mounted bike carrier like the SeaSucker Talon Roof Bike Rack part # 298-BT1004 to carry the additional bike on the roof of your vehicle.
The best option, however, would be to use a trunk mounted bike rack like the Yakima HangOut 3-Bike Rack part # Y02638 as this will be the most cost effective and easiest way to stow 3 bikes on your vehicle. You may also want to consider using the Kuat Ubar Bike Frame Adapter Bar Part # UB01 for alternative frame bikes.
I have attached a review video on each of these products for you.
