Recommended Grease Cap for Lippert 4,400 Pound Trailer Axle

Question:

Im trying to find a dust cap for a lippert 4400# axle. The hub is actually a 3500# 6 lug. Strange I know. I dont know what the diameter is of the cap to get one that properly fits. I need the EZ lube. Im in a hurry as I have a trip with this travel trailer in a few days. Thanks for your help.

We do have a large selection of grease/dust caps currently available.

To determine the size grease cap that will fit your trailer, you will need to measure the inner diameter of your trailer's hub bore. I recommend using a digital caliper like # PTW80157, as the measurement will need to be as accurate as possible. The hub's pilot hole should be just a tiny bit smaller than the cap so that the cap will fit nice and snug.

Based on my research, the 3,500 pound hubs that your Lippert axle should take an EZ Lube Grease Cap like the TruRyde # RG04-040. These caps have an outer diameter of 1.99 inches and include a rubber lube plug for the EZ Lube axle. I do still recommend verifying this measurement on your existing hub bore.

I have attached a short video review of these grease caps along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
