Recommendation of Roof Mounted Bike Racks to Fit Swagman Square Bar Roamer Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack

Question:

Hi, I dont know anything about bike carriers that fit on roof racks. Im looking at part # S80510 as the roof rack for a popup camper. How do I figure out what bike carriers will fit on that? Also wondering how well the mounts will fit, given the edge I have on my popups roof see attached picture. Thats about a 1 inch piece of metal trim, raised about a 1/16th of an inch.

The Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack for Pop-Up Campers, # S80510, uses square crossbars and can mount a bike rack that is compatible with square crossbars.

For a bike rack, I recommend the Malone Pilot TC ST roof Bike Rack, # MPG2103. The Malone bike rack will mount to square crossbars as well as round, elliptical, aero, and most factory crossbars. The rack uses wheels straps and a locking ratcheting are to hold the front wheel of the bike. The Malone rack is lightweight weighing only 10 lbs and can carry bike with tires up to 5 inches wide.

Before installation contact the trailer manufacturer to insure that the top of the trailer is structurally strong enough to support 150 lbs.

The Swagman Roamer roof rack will connect to the roof of a pop-up trailer at the outside edges of the trailer's roof. The 1 inch metal strips on the edge of your roof will be the area the you will mount the crossbars. The crossbar feet measure 1 inch wide and have 2 holes where screws will be used to attached the bar to the roof. The crossbar length is 84-5/16 inches long and the bars measure 1-3/16 x 1-3/16 inches square.
