Compatibility of the Swagman RV Bumper 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver Used to Carry A 150 Generator
Question:
Will this support a rack on back of my trailer for a 150lb generator?

Expert Reply:
The Swagman RV Bumper 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, # S64025, has a 200 lbs weight capacity and will mount to a 4 x 4 inch square bumper. However, you will needed to know the tongue weight capacity of your trailer's bumper before mounting the Swagman hitch and a generator.
Typically, this style of bumper receiver hitch is used for lightweight hitch accessories like a bike rack or a point to mount a spare tire.
Consult the trailer's owner's manual or contact the manufacturer to find this information. Most trailers have low tongue weights on the rear to the excess bounce at the rear of the trailer
