I recommend the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13264, This hitch will accepted a 2 x 2 inch ball mount.
The Curt hitch is designed to fit your Tacoma and will require no drilling when installing on your vehicle.
If you are planning to tow trailer, then you will also need a vehicle wiring harness, like # C56349. This wiring harness will allow you to connect a 4-pole flat connector to your Tacoma. The harness will allow to connect your trailer's light to your vehicle.
If your are also needing a brake controller, then I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Proportional Brake Controller, # 90885.The P2 is extremely reliable and easy to use, which makes it one of our all-time best selling brake controllers.
To use a brake controller you will need to install the Universal Installation Kit for Brake Controllers, # ETBC7. The kit will include a 7-way RV trailer connector and all the wiring and electrical components needed to install your brake controller.
I have included a videos of the products for you to review.
