How Much Do Frame Holes have to be Enlarged to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2017 Subaru Outback
Question:
On a 2017 Subaru outback wagon, how large do the attachment holes on the frame have to be enlarged. I notice the instruction sheet does not mention this. The 2017 video mentioned it but does not go into detail as to how much to enlarge the holes where the rubber plugs are. Thanks and I am looking forward to using the hitch

There isn't a specific measurement given for enlarging the frame holes to install Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # 75673 on your 2017 Subaru Outback. Basically the holes have to be enlarge just enough to fit the installation hardware inside.
To enlarge the holes you can use a file, drill, hammer and chisel, or rotary tool. They won't have to be enlarged much to get the hardware to fit. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
